Groundwater and Climate Change: A Visual Perspective
Le acque sotterranee svolgono un ruolo fondamentale, ma spesso invisibile, nella resilienza climatica e nell’adattamento. La IAH Commission on Groundwater and Climate Change CGCC (Tibor Stigter, Attila Kovács, Manuela Lasagna, Phebe Olabode, Umut Taha Ç., Saulo Vieira) ti invita a contribuire a rendere visibile l’acqua sotterranea attraverso la fotografia.
I partecipanti sono invitati a inviare immagini che illustrino uno o più dei seguenti temi:
- Acque sotterranee e siccità
- Interazioni tra acque sotterranee e clima
- Soluzioni innovative e gestione sostenibile
- Il valore nascosto dell’acqua nel contesto del cambiamento climatico
Le fotografie selezionate saranno esposte e premiate durante il Congresso IAH 2026 a Budapest.

Groundwater plays a fundamental, yet often invisible, role in climate resilience and adaptation. The IAH - International Association of Hydrogeologists Commission on Groundwater and Climate Change (Tibor Stigter, Attila Kovács, Manuela Lasagna, Phebe Olabode, Umut Taha Ç., Saulo Vieira) invites you to help make groundwater visible through photography.
Participants are encouraged to submit images illustrating one or more of the following topics:
- Groundwater and drought
- Groundwater–climate interactions
- Innovative solutions and sustainable management
- The hidden value of water in a climate change context
Selected photographs will be exhibited and awarded during the IAH 2026 Budapest Congress.
