For water resources management,
this year we are particularly interested in research proposals targeting the following research themes:
- Analyses of nutrients and carbon fluxes across the interface sea/land - seawater intrusion in agricultural settings;
- Nature-based Solutions for aquifer recharge: hydrochemical and hydrodynamic implications, and evaluation of ecological quality benefits;
- The wide impact of agricultural Managed Aquifer Recharge schemes;
- River/Aquifer/Irrigation interactions in coastal areas in agricultural settings;
- Degradation of pharmaceutical compounds in the soil-water-plant continuum;
- AI applications in groundwater hydrology and agro-hydrology for water resources management
Nonetheless, the submission of other research projects addressing, as general objective, the impact of conventional agriculture on the aquatic ecosystem in innovative ways (and the study of innovative potential solutions), is welcome.
All of the research projects must include an experimental, field or in some cases lab, section.
